Cobra Group supports couple in their noble endeavour
When the Cobra Group decided to support Nigel Eastwood and his wife Vijaya, it was in fact supporting a noble cause.
Nigel and Vijaya represent a Lancashire based charity organisation that works for people in the Kailahun District of Sierra Leone, the African country beleaguered by all kinds of misfortunes. (Sierra Leone, as we know, is the twelfth-lowest-ranked country on the Human Development Index and eighth-lowest on the Human Poverty Index and is afflicted with issues like endemic corruption, basic health issues, suppression of the press etc.). The Lancashire based organisation, formed in 2006, works closely with the Church, Education Department, Hospitals and the Schools in Kailahun. It’s the Cobra Foundation that stands by such causes and does all that is necessary.
Recently when Nigel and Vijaya participated in a sporting event in Manchester to raise £3000.00 to buy a vehicle to transport the children in Kailahun, the Cobra Group sponsored them and thus showed the world that it’s not just direct marketing and money-minting that the company is interested in.
Hats off to such noble thinking! Hats off to Cobra Group!
